Description: The 16th hole at
Par Line Golf Course
is a longish straight away par 5 with out of bounds all along the right
side. A bunker guards the left side of the
green.
Comments From the Caddy Shack (Rating ***): Nothing fancy here. Three straight shots and you are home free. Avoid the right and you'll be fine. The fairway slope left to right, so you can aim down the left side, and if you hit it perfectly, the ball will bounce to the center. Only the very longest hitters can reach this in two, especially since it is usually into the wind. The approach shot can be a little tricky. It tends to roll off the back to the left, and the green is a little tight, what with that bunker on the left side and the OB right. If the course is dry, the best play is to lay it in front of the green (maybe cheat a little toward the left to get more help from the slope) and it will hop up there nicely. If the course is wet, this green will hold like nobody's business. It's not a difficult hole, unless, of course, you hit that dreaded banana. |
